THAMES DARK WATERS — The vector design for the Thames is informed by its ancient Celtic name, “Tamesis” meaning dark waters. It celebrates the potent power and aerial shape of the river and dynamic city life found in all directions along its banks and beyond.
Ahead of global fashion week season, we’ve collaborated with Epson to create ‘Water Silks’ – fine EcoVero™ Silk scarves inspired by the rivers and canals of Europe’s fashion capitals, to shine a light on the industry’s water footprint.
The collection re-imagines the Thames [London], Seine [Paris], Navigli [Milan] and Spree [Berlin] to serve as a reminder of the intimate relationship between our environment and the clothes we wear.
Printing with digital printers that use pigment inks, such as Epson’s innovative Monna Lisa, can reduce water consumption in the colour printing stage of clothing production by up to 97%*
